All CPanel Accounts come with a “Metrics” section, which allows you to view information on visitors to your site. Our vendor Reclaim Hosting has documentation on how to read and understand the CPanel provided metrics.
If you would like a more nuanced look at the traffic to your site and you are a WordPress user, we recommend using Koko Analytics. This plugin is a privacy-forward analytics tool. The developers do not share visitor data with third parties and they do not collect visitor-specific data.
To install this plugin, go to your WordPress dashboard and select “Plugins” from the left sidebar. Select the “Add New” button at the top of the page. Search for “Koko Analytics” in the search bar, and the plugin should be the first result. Click the “Install” button and then “Activate.” You should then be directed to your list of installed plugins.
To customize the plugin options, select “Settings” under the plugin’s title. If you would like to exclude WordPress editor data from the analytics dashboard, you can select the user roles you would like excluded from the data. This will ensure that your data isn’t skewed by your own traffic to the site to edit pages. You can select multiple user roles by using the CTRL key. Make sure you hit “Save” to finish making changes.
